Bully Proofing Skills- Using BJJ
Brazilian jiu-jitsu is more than grappling. We focus on bully proofing skills: boundaries, voice, and awareness, teaching practical tools that help you recognize unsafe situations early and respond with control.

Spotting unsafe moments early is a key power-of-leverage skill. Students learn to read body language, notice when an interaction feels off, and trust that instinct. Instead of freezing, you practice situational awareness—staying present, scanning your surroundings, and keeping distance when something feels unsafe. This awareness helps you avoid escalating conflict before it starts.
Boundaries are non-negotiable in both training and daily life. Through BJJ, students build respect, clarity, and structure: you learn how to set limits firmly and calmly. Whether you are walking away, creating space, or requesting help, boundaries become a practiced action—not an emotional reaction.
Your voice matters. We train assertive communication: speaking clearly, using firm language, and staying composed. In bullying situations, volume is not the goal—precision is. You learn to state what you need, refuse what you do not accept, and move toward safety.
BJJ builds practical confidence that shows up immediately. Students often stand taller, move more deliberately, and stay alert under pressure. When fear appears, BJJ gives a better plan than panic: breathe, focus, and act. At Power of Leverage, you will develop skill and discipline—fear becomes manageable, and your choices become stronger.
